Counselling was a change of direction for me after an enjoyable and challenging twelve year career in TV Design and a variety of retail experience. My work introduced me to a wide variety of people, places and situations, which helped to strengthen my confidence and ignite my interest in people and relationships, inspiring me to discover more.
I began my counselling journey at the Minster Centre on their introduction course and continued that journey at CPPD, completing their Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses. I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling Society (NCS).
I am currently working in private pactice and have previously worked with the NHS for their IAPT service offering short-term counselling and as a counsellor in a secondary school, in a GP surgery and for a women's charity. I work using a variety of therapy techniques including; Person Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt and Psychodynamic Therapy.
